Business Mission to South Korea and Taiwan

A Czech delegation led by Mrs. Markéta Pekarová Adamová, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, recently visited South Korea and Taiwan to explore business opportunities and deepen relationships between the nations. The delegation, consisting of over 100 representatives from Czech companies, municipalities, and educational institutions, was one of the largest to visit these countries in the past five years.

During the visit to South Korea, our Director General, Mr. Tomáš Hruška, signed a memorandum of understanding with KGS (Korea Gas Safety Corporation), one of our Korean partners. The agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening our cooperation with our Korean counterparts. In addition to the signing of the Memorandum itself, the Director also had the opportunity to participate in networking events and made contacts with other participants in the mission to spread awareness of SZU and our services.

After visiting South Korea, the delegation moved to Taiwan, where Mr. Hruška had the opportunity to meet with potential Taiwanese customers and our local partners to discuss opportunities for cooperation and promotion of SZU services in the local market. Mr. Hruška evaluated the Taiwan part of the mission as follows: "For SZU, the trade mission to Taiwan, accompanied by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Markéta Pekarová-Adamová, fulfilled the expectations we had. During the B2B meeting we met with three customers from Taiwan in the field of fastening technology and discussed with them future contracts for testing and certification for the single market of the European Union. We also discussed with them the issue of the new European standard for fasteners. A significant benefit was the opportunity to have a personal meeting with colleagues from our representative office in Taiwan, during which we opened up the possibility of further offering SZU services to Taiwanese exporters to the EU in the fields of machinery and gas appliances. We also consider it significant to have gained a number of contacts with companies and associations in Taiwan that may be of benefit in the future."

At SZU, we are committed to establishing strong international partnerships to bring the best quality services to our clients. This visit to South Korea and Taiwan demonstrates our commitment to building lasting relationships and expanding our global presence. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with our Korean and Taiwanese partners to drive innovation and growth in the region.
