Within the framework of signing a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) by Canada and the EU, a delegation of the representatives of Canada and of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) visited SZU Jablonec, on 14 March 2017.

The Czech party included Mr. Matyáš Pelant and Ms. Lenka Fořtová of MIT, and Mr. Jaroslav Jelínek of the CzechTrade Canada. The Canadian visitors were Mr. Stephen Head, Manager, Strategic Policy and Sector Engagement Standards Council of Canada, and Mr. Daniel Hohnstein, a representative of Borden Ladner Gervais law firm that operates a programme of assistance to EU companies in the aspects of CETA.

The agenda included discussions on applying CETA in practice, a presentation of SZU and a tour of the testing laboratories.
